Tactel helps bring a personal touch to Singapore Airlines

Nov 8, 2017

Tactel AB (Tactel), a leading provider of personalized and humanized consumer experiences across a wide landscape of devices and software, and its parent company, Panasonic Avionics Corporation, have unveiled a series of inflight entertainment firsts for Singapore Airlines that will launch on their new fleet of A380 aircraft.

Jonas Hasselgren, Chief Executive Officer of Tactel, says: “Singapore Airlines is world-renowned for its world class, personal service, and our mission was to take that even further by combining best-in-class IFE hardware with digital new services and an intuitive user interface that deliver a truly personalized passenger experience. The result of these efforts represents a paradigm shift in inflight entertainment, called myKrisWorld.”

With myKrisWorld, passengers will experience a new kind of interactive IFE that is truly unique, easy to use, and dynamically tailored to passenger preferences. It creates a personalized experience that makes content recommendations based on customer preferences and viewing history. It also creates the ability to bookmark and resume content on subsequent flights, customizes and saves preferences and playlists for subsequent flights, and much more.

Throughout the development of myKrisWorld, Tactel leveraged its innate strengths in personalized and humanized experiences to create an ambient user experience that seamlessly flows different environments, across multiple devices and through all of Singapore Airlines’ digital channels.

Hasselgren continued, “Obviously to effectively offer an ambient user experience you need to make it as easy to use as possible, so that any person, regardless of language, age, or experience with technology could sit down and immediately be enjoying the type of experience that is only available from Singapore Airlines.

“This is especially evident in the new Suites on Singapore Airlines’ aircraft that are highly advanced with several screens, but has a well thought through way of making the screens work together to provide a seamless and exciting passenger experience.“

Hasselgren concluded, “For passengers, it’s an experience that will follow them everywhere they go, and for Singapore Airlines, it ensures that their investment in IFE systems gives them yet another channel in which they can deliver their truly unique brand experience.”
